Description Mark Lanctot 2009-02-06 23:13:31 UTC
Say my playlist is A, B, C, D. I play A, B and C. I stop track C partway through and turn off the player. When I turn on my player, I would expect it to play C...but it starts playing B - the previous track played to completion.

I already heard B, I don't want to hear it again. I want to hear C, which didn't complete playing last time.

This also applies if I stop it before C even starts playing. Provided B played to completion, I STILL don't want to hear B again, I want to hear C.

I believe this isn't player specific, but if it matters, the player is an SB2. It also isn't OS-dependent or specific to any version of SC, but in case it matters:

Version: 7.3.2 - 24695 @ Mon Jan 19 17:13:58 PST 2009
OS: Debian - EN - utf8
Platform: x86_64-linux
Perl Version: 5.10.0 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi
MySQL Version: 5.0.67-0ubuntu6

Additional info - when I say "turn off the player" I'm actually interrupting its power, not just sending it into the "off" state.

Maybe this makes a difference to SC, maybe not?

We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future.

Thanks!

Mark: what do you have Power on Resume set too?
Comment 4 Mark Lanctot 2009-03-27 07:10:10 UTC
"Stop at power off / Remain stopped at power on"

Does this still occur for you with 7.4 nightly? I was unable to validate

Started a 12 track playlist
Played to item 3
Stopped playback via Player UI
Power Cycled player (SB3)
Pressed Play (via IR), item 3 started playing as expected

Tried the above with Pause as well, no change.

Tested with;
Pause at Power off / Remain Pause
Stop at Power off / Remain Stop
