Change 24794 prevents all preference change handlers which don't require a player: language, rescan when music folder is changed etc.

I reverted it in change 24861 until we've found a better solution for this.

change 24862 - ignore the player object filter when we're running slimserver, not slimservice. Simple fix after all...
