Checked in the AsynHTTP code, and made the version checker use it.  

However, the code was buggy and crashed when the server was not connected to the
net.  So I reverted the changes

I've checked in a fix to the async http code, But am holding of on the version
checker code until after the 6.0 release.  When the time comes, the change can
be merged in with:

svn merge -r 2508:1509 slimserver.pl

This bug was marked resolved in Slimserver 6.1, which is several versions ago.  If you're still seeing this bug, please re-open it.  Thanks!
