Description James Richardson 2009-02-03 08:32:31 UTC
bug 9706

Steps:

- Factory reset IP3K player
- Go through setup and connect immediately to SN
- Choose SC from home menu

Error "can't connect to SqueezeCenter..."

Expected Result: language setup screen so customer can configure missing items to connect to running server instance.
Comment 1 James Richardson 2009-02-03 09:17:51 UTC
This will only happen if the SBC is used to setup the IP3K player.

Using the Player UI does not have this issue.
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-02-03 09:19:46 UTC
Expected behavior is 'Select a Music Source:' screen, not Language as stated in comment 1
Comment 3 Felix Mueller 2009-02-03 09:54:21 UTC
Note to self: The issue when setup from SBC is that SBC (to work around a bug in ip3k firmware) sets slimserver_address to 0.0.0.1 which then causes the player to try to connect to this ip when switching from SN to SC upon receiving a serv 0.

Bug 9706 fixed only the behavior when setup via IR / buttons as the code added assumes slimserver_address is 0.0.0.0.

Fixed in rev5541. Will be in SB3 fw 124, TR fw 74 and SBB fw 45. Does not affect SBR.
Comment 5 Felix Mueller 2009-02-06 05:37:48 UTC
Sorry, fw revision for SB3 and TR are wrong in comment #4.

This will be fixed in SB3 fw 125, TR fw 75 and SBB fw 45.
