Description Ross Levine 2009-02-02 18:44:17 UTC
Two instances of this issue, or perhaps this is 2 bugs. First a Controller connected to SqueezeNetwork doesn't successfully setup a Receiver from the choose player menu. Controller goes all the way to choose source, I select SqueezeNetwork, receiver connects (turns white) but Controller insists there is a problem offering go back or try again, both useless, the Receiver cannot be selected at this point because it is no longer in setup mode.

Second isn't consistently reproducible, 2 in 4 tests. Connect factory reset Duet to SqueezeNetwork, works great. Now factory reset the Receiver, using choose player menu option try to setup the receiver again. Twice this caused Controller to reboot, and when it rebooted wireless icon was red, Receiver was blue. One time it worked perfectly for me, and another time Controller just says Connecting to [player name] indefinitely.

Receiver successfully connects to SN, Controller disagrees.

This is frustrating. Setting up Receiver from Choose Player menu option worked the Receiver connects and goes white, but Controller prompts with Problem Connecting, try again or go back.

Ross: can you verify that this did or did not happen on r3476 as well.
Comment 4 Ross Levine 2009-02-03 16:32:44 UTC
r3476 doesn't have a choose player option.

We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future.

Thanks!
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2009-03-30 17:20:17 UTC
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it.

Thanks.

Ross, Felix asks that you retry this in a modern FW with the busybox changes.
Comment 8 Mickey Gee 2009-04-20 13:37:36 UTC
Reassigning to Ross to test again.

Works with r5225. I noticed over a minute between factory resetting an SB3 and when it finally shows up on the list under choose player. Aside from that, this works very well.
