Description Julius Dauz 2009-01-30 10:20:26 UTC
Andy,

This is per the customer that I inquired about accuradio.

He would still like to see this working again.
Comment 1 Paul 2009-02-07 21:58:25 UTC
AccuRadio was one of the main reasons that I purchased the SqueezeBoxBoom. It would be great to see it back on as a listening option.

Still not getting response from Accuradio. Pushing to future release.
Comment 12 Seth Schulte 2009-08-24 10:39:43 UTC
Got a voicemail back from Ralph at Accuradio.

Andy, can you give me a sample of what we are calling today and, if possible, a sense of when this problem cropped up and what error we're seeing?
Comment 13 Andy Grundman 2009-08-24 11:04:39 UTC
We are pointing to this file on their server: http://www.accuradio.com/shoutcast/accuradio.opml They simply need to fix the URLs in this file to point to the correct server.
Comment 14 Paul 2009-08-24 13:45:16 UTC
a possible fix!!

thanks for your efforts
Comment 15 Seth Schulte 2009-09-01 16:59:07 UTC
This should now be resolved. Acuradio has updated the file:
http://www.accuradio.com/shoutcast/accuradio.opml

...to reflect their currently-available shoutcast stations. It should be a
longer list than before.

I have to say that I've never used it before, so I'm not sure I'd know if it is now working as designed.

Paul, can you check it out when you get a chance and let me know if it looks OK to you? If so, I'll close out the bug.
Comment 16 Paul 2009-09-01 19:22:05 UTC
Just checked one of my favorites and it is working!!!!!!

I am going to set some others as favorites and will let you know tomorrow
if all settings work.

Comment 17 Paul 2009-09-02 04:15:13 UTC
I had one channel listed in my Favorites- Classic Folk Music and it played

I added five other channels to Radiotime and none worked

I generally accessed Accuradio through the Radiotime site- is this the
correct way to access the Accuradio stations? When I try listening to the new
presets on Radiotime the display indicates "EMPTY"

Not sure if I am loading these stations correctly.

Paul, I'm working remotely today. Can we talk tomorrow? Also, if you could provide specific repro steps that would be helpful.

But I'm glad to hear that it's (at least sort of) working now...
Comment 20 Paul 2009-09-02 10:20:33 UTC
The details:

I had one station on my SBB list of favorites-- that station now works Folk

I added 4-5 additional stations from Accuradio and they show "EMPTY" when I
 attempt to listen

I added the Accuradio stations by adding to the Radiotime presets web page.
Should I be doing this differently?

You stated the following in your prior email

" Comment #15 from Seth Schulte <seth_schulte@logitech.com> 2009-09-01

...to reflect their currently-available shoutcast stations. It should be a

This web site lists the address string for the stations - I have tried to
copy and paste the string directly into "favorites" on Squeeze Center but I
get a message stating that the format is incorrect and that the station may
not play properly. I get the error message EMPTY when trying to listen to
the station.

Below is a string copied from the web page you listed above
<outline text="Folk" URL="_http://stream1.accuradio.com:8042_
(http://stream1.accuradio.com:8042) " type="audio"/>

What portion of this gets pasted into the FAVORITES link in the favorites
page of the Squeeze center?

The list on the page you refer to lists only a fraction of the 100+
listings on the Radiotime Page for Accuradio. What gives?

PS I will out tomorrow and Friday morning. The earliest that I can call you
 is Friday PM EST

Paul, I'm sorry I missed you this afternoon. Unfortunately, I'll be out on vacation for the next week, but I'll certainly keep working on this when I return.

However, I'm a little confused when you say you "added the Accuradio stations by adding to the Radiotime presets web page."

When I access Accuradio from my Squeezebox, I get a listing of 25 (or so) channels. All of them that I've tried so far seem to work fine.

One reason some stations may not be listed is that PCs (and Macs) support a wider range of audio codecs. We support a very wide range, but not as wide as a full-blown computer. As such, some stations will play on your computer but not on the Squeezebox.

The only way that I have access to the Accuradio stations is by accessing
the presets on Radiotime where they are listed.

There used to be an Accuradio listing on the Sueezebox but it has
disappeared. Is that the problem? Do I need to reload the Squeezebox software? Is
there supposed to be a Accuradio listing on the Squeezebox menu?

Paul
Comment 24 Paul 2009-09-04 04:23:12 UTC
I just checked the Squeeze Network and there is no tab for Accuradio. How
is one supposed to access their radio stations from the Squeezebox?
