Missing radio buttons

When opening Squeezecenter the customer is getting an SC page that is missing a few radio buttons see attached image.
This happens on Firefox browser and only when opening SC from the system tray icon or typing 127.0.0.1:9000 in the browser address bar.
The strange thing if we type (localhost:9000) the page shows properly.
We cleared the cache of the browser we even uninstalled Firefox and reinstall the latest version of Firefox, the problem still persists.
We tried IE all worked properly no problem at all.

Windows-XP
SC Version = 7.3.2
RN= (090114-003362)

Osama: this is a Browser Cache issue.

To solve it, have the customer do the following: CTRL-SHIFT-R

That will delete the stored page, and reload a fresh page.

This is the customer. Nope clearing the cache didnt fix it. Whatever file loads the radio buttons has to be corrupted and that file has to be stored not in the squeezecenter, or it would get fixed when uninstalling and reinstalling

Paul: Please try the following then:

1) Shut down SC
2) Go to Start > All Programs > SqueezeCenter > Reset Configuration to defaults
3) Select #2 'Delete file cache for artwork, templates etc.
4) restart SC

if that doesn't fix the issue, then try the following:

1) In FireFox select Tools > Options
2) Select the Advanced Tab
3) Select the Network Tab
4) Click on the button "Clearn Now" in the Storage Section
5) Close FireFox
6) Re-Launch Firefox and go to http://127.0.0.1:9000
7) test again

Let me know if any of the above helps or if you still see the issue.

Comment 6 paulvieth 2009-01-30 10:27:42 UTC
if i uninstall and reinstall squeezecenter and that doesnt fix it
if i uninstall and reinstall firefox and that doesnt fix it
if localhost under firefox does work
if 127.0.0.1:9000 works under internet explorer
Doesnt that mean that something in my firefox profile that is being reatined must be blocking the radio buttons from loading ?

I'd guess so. Are you using any other add-on than google bar? Or did you accidentally assign some custom style sheet or something to that page? Or disable display of pictures?

This is not a SC bug, but some odd issue with the browser.

No add ons other than google toolbar.
It was working fine while i was on 7.1, it only started when i upgraded to 7.2.
It works fine when i use local host vs 127.0.0.1:9000 when i dont get the buttons. Something happened when i loaded that upgrade that i cant seem to undo by uninstalling and reinstalling. It has to be related to SC somehow because everything works fine except that page. There has to be some unique file that SC modifies in firefox that gets changed upon installation and not changed upon deinstall. Is there a list of browserfiles that get modified upon install but not on deinstall?

If you have an "internet security suite" of whatever kind, make sure it doesn't block javascript, cookies etc. from localhost (or 127.0.0.1).
Comment 10 paulvieth 2009-02-02 10:10:04 UTC
it doesnt, or else localhost would not get the radio buttons either. What SC file would cause local host to work fine but not 127.0.0.1 ?
