Description Andy Grundman 2009-01-26 08:16:46 UTC
Need to stop doing full scans for remote streams and come up with a way to do this scanning in the background after beginning playback. Starting a stream as soon as possible should be a higher priority than having full information about all streams in a playlist.

Fixed in change 24770.
Comment 2 Alan Young 2009-02-24 09:40:11 UTC
The problem is that this fix breaks seeking. Because the bitrate is not known before starting to stream, the canSeek flag is never set true. Bug 11156
Comment 3 Andy Grundman 2009-02-24 09:42:45 UTC
Hmm, yeah, can we fix the canSeek flag to be set after playback starts?
