Description Rick Felter 2009-01-25 15:47:39 UTC
When playing a Rhapsody Channel selected from the SB Controller, Squeezecenter does not submit the tracks to last.fm for scrobbling, even if the setting to submit tracks for internet radio is enabled.

Looking at the server log, the following dialog appears with each track:

[09-01-25 18:20:27.6026] Slim::Plugin::AudioScrobbler::Plugin::newsongCallback (458) Ignoring radio station newsong notification

OS: Windows 7 Build 7000
Comment 1 James Richardson 2009-02-05 15:20:06 UTC
Rick: what player is attached to the SBC?

Make sure you have that player selected to 'scrobble' in settings.

I tested with SN and SC 7.3.2, works fine for me.
Comment 2 Rick Felter 2009-02-05 16:45:10 UTC
James,

Its a SC duet, with a controller and player. Other sources do scrobble such as Rhapsody TRACKS, Pandora tracks, even tracks from Sirius. The preference to scrobble radio IS selected.

In regards to you duplicating the issue, are you sure its working specifically for Rhapsody Channels?
Comment 3 Rick Felter 2009-02-05 16:48:22 UTC
That should have said a SB Receiver as the player
Comment 4 James Richardson 2009-02-06 07:42:45 UTC
Which rhapsody channels are you streaming?

I tried with a Rhapsody album and it worked here

James,

I'm not sure if you are understanding what I am saying.. The problem with scrobbling is with Channels - not albums or tracks.. I don't know how familiar you are with the Rhapsody service, but Channels are playlists that get updated on a regular basis so they deliver different content. I'm not at home right now, so I dont know what the navigation structure is on the controller - but it shouldn't matter -- they are accessible from SqueezeCenter as well:

Home.. Music Services.. Rhapsody.. Channels (For Rhapsody produced channels)

or

Home.. Music Services.. Rhapsody.. My Library.. Channels (For channels you have created)

When listening to one of those channels, the tracks do not get scrobbled to last.fm, and the log reports that it is ignoring the song change.

Regards,
Rick

It doesn't work with any channel.. Try "90's Hits" as an example.

We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future.

Thanks!
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2009-03-30 17:32:16 UTC
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it.

Thanks.

For some reason Bugzilla did not change the target when I did this yesterday. Or maybe it was me. In either case, I'm trying it again.
Comment 11 Andy Grundman 2009-07-29 14:58:57 UTC
Moving 7.4 bugs to 8.0.
