Description Ben Sandee 2005-03-14 11:55:04 UTC
I've been following nightlies for a few weeks and always have run into this
problem (still as a 3/13/05 nightly) with all of the various web skins (these
steps are for "Default" skin):

1) hit slimserver uri (http://cedar:9000/ for me)
2) Choose an alternate player in the right pane from dropdown list (in this case
I pick "office" which is #4 on the list). The browser URL updates to this:
http://cedar:9000/index.html?player=d5:50:a1:33:bd:4b which correctly ID's the
office player mac address.
3) Select "Search Music" in left pane
4) Type some text "Ray" in this case and wait for livesearch ui to reflect
search results
5) Hovering over the search items reveals that all search items are hard-coded
to effect the FIRST PLAYER in the dropdown list, not the CURRENT player. If
instead I click the "search music" button then I get results with the proper MAC
address but clicking the URI results in no results -- not sure why.

Here are the two different URL's that are generated:

Wrong MAC address (livesearch results):
http://cedar:9000/browsedb.html?hierarchy=album,track&level=0&artist=349&player=00:00:00:00:00:00

No search results (clicking the button) but correct player MAC
