Description SsnickersS 2009-01-21 04:17:11 UTC
I have installed the last SqueezeCenter (7.3.2) for my ReadyNas DUO. I configure it in french. But, on my Squeezebox Boom (when off), the display shows the date in english text (for the day and the month) !!! If I choose german, the date comes in german.
It works fine in french with SqueezeNetwork....

Thank you !

Michael: would this be yours to address?

Verified with SC 7.3.2

Works on MAC OS x when switching OS language to French

Do you happen to know what language your ReadyNAS is set to? This is listed on the ReadyNAS Frontview inteface under System -> Language. I am also curious what language SqueezeCenter is reporting. You can find this information on the SqueezeCenter web interface under Settings -> Information -> SqueezeCenter Status.

Hello !

(sorry for my english)

The both languages are french (readynas and squeeze center).

I have written to readynas support, they answered me : "This will be fixed in our next ReadyNAS firmware release. Thanks for reporting this!"

It is because :

J'ai comme l'impression que nos amis d'Infrant/Netgear ont oublié d'intégrer les locales françaises dans RAIDiator : (infrant has forgotten to include the "french locales" -don't know how to translate in english]

Code:
barney:~# locale -a
C
de_DE.utf8
en_US.utf8
ja_JP.utf8
ko_KR.utf8
nl_NL.utf8
POSIX
zh_CN.utf8
zh_TW.utf8

La locale de_DE.UTF-8 y est bien, ce qui explique que ça fonctionne pour l'allemand. [Thats why it works for german, not for french]

I hope to be clear enough, if you have any questions just ask me !

André.

This is a ReadyNAS firmware issue. They forgot to include the French locale. Nothing we can do here. But Netgear will fix it in their next release (according to André's comment).
