Description petethecat 2009-01-17 04:52:56 UTC
The SB3 does not properly play cue sheets for .ape und .wv (wavpack) image files.

SB3 only can plays all tracks in the cue sheet from begin to end. When pressing 'skip' on the remote (normally used to advance to the next track within the cue sheet) SB3 starts playing the first track. Navigating within cue sheet to a track and starting it has the same result: SB3 starts playing first track.

The same cue sheet with the same .ape und .wv image files works fine on PC (for example using WinAmp 5.5 under Win XP).

Peter can you please try SC 7.3.2 (release) to see if this fixes the issue?
Comment 2 Alan Young 2009-01-22 08:56:23 UTC
James, I cannot see how it would. We don't support seeking in .ape files at all. It probably could be supported with wavepack, using the same mechanism as for FLAC files, but a quick look at the code suggest that it is not. Such support would be an enhancement.

Thanks for looking, re-targeting bug as enhancement

Let's not get anyone's hopes up by leaving this bug open. Bottom line: use FLAC, there is no point in using these other fringe lossless formats.
