bad resample

There is a problem with resample of artwork in SC. If an album is selected, the artwork is not displayed correct. Of four browsers (Opera, IE, Firefox, Chrome) SC fails in Firefox and IE, but does it right in Chrome and Opera. Look at the attachment; In the image from Firefox, the text is barely readable, while in Opera it's much better looking.

I have attached a sample from Chrome. It's a huge difference from Chrome and Firefox. SC and Chrome gives the best resampling of artwork. SC should be doing this in Firefox and IE too.

SC is not involved here: we serve the image as it's stored on disk to all the browsers. What they make of it is up to their algorithms.

What we could do is resize them on the server side instead of sending the original, full size version.

If that would make artwork look better, it would be nice if you could try that in a nightly update.

change 24720 - resize artwork on the server for better image quality in browsers with poor resizing algorithms
