Description slav 2009-01-14 11:34:23 UTC
When using the sleep function, the next time you turn on the SB the music/playlist is 'Stopped' even with the Player's Power setting set to not stop on power off or somehow resume/restart at power on (eg, "pause at power off/resume power on", or "stop at power off/restart song at power one"

Steps:
1. Ensure Player's Power settings (WebUI > Settings > Player > Audio > Power On Resume) are set to somehow resume/restart at power on (eg, "pause at power off/resume power on"
2. Play some music
3. Hit the sleep button (sleeping to any value, eg end of song, 15 mins etc)
4. Sleep behaves as expected; SB turns off
5. Turn SB power on - music does not resume/restart as would be expected after a power off - playlist is still there but shows "stopped".

The problem seems to have occured ever since I can remember (starting at SS 6.5) can verify this occurs on:
SC Version: 7.3.1 - 24372
SC Version 7.3.2 - 24523

thanks.

Bug 9513 maybe related

Alan would you have time to have a look at this?

This works as designed. Sleep executes: fade-out, stop, power-off. I cannot see any great problem with removing the 'stop' but I cannot say if that is really desired.

I'd have to disagree w/ the above - sleeping the player in my opinion should fade the music then turn off (why does it need to stop?) the stop/start etc. should be handled as normal.

In any case, would someone mind letting me know what script(s) deal with the sleep function so I can look into changing it for myself - and maybe add a patch here, in case you change your mind :)

thanks.
