Description Gary Morgan 2009-01-13 02:28:57 UTC
See post above...

Alarm set to stream Radio1 via iPlayer (WMA stream), been working for months now. But it did not sound because there was a bad internet connection (message said could not resolve ip address. Connection was up but there was a problem with the DNS servers.

Setup...
- Squeezecenter running on XP Pro PC (7.3.2 - 24612)
- Server with fixed IP connection to LAN
- Also on the LAN is the wireless broadband router
- Boom (FW 42) is connected to internet and SC via wireless LAN (98%)

Not being rude here just trying to understand, is the test for an error condition not simple? Get Boom to check...

- Has alarm occured?
- Wait say 10 seconds
- Is there sound out of the speakers?
- No, then play some internal beep.
- Yes, good job.
