Description Spies Steven 2009-01-12 08:58:24 UTC
SqueezeCenter should allow ip3k players to downsample 96kHz for those systems without SoX or when the cpu does not have enough power to downsample using SoX. For example sparc based ReadyNAS systems.

Dean, Alan notes that this is difficult. Would you care to prioritize this bug? Andy notes the error right now is 'can't open the file'. Bug meeting consensus is we need to improve the error message at least.
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2009-01-12 09:20:06 UTC
turns out the message is 'problem convert file'. Bug meeting group says 'Unsupported Sample Rate' would be preferable.
Comment 3 Alan Young 2009-02-06 00:26:12 UTC
Change 24899 adds UNSUPPORTED_SAMPLE_RATE error message.
Comment 4 Alan Young 2009-02-06 00:26:57 UTC
In-player downsampling is a broken concept and cannot work correctly.
