Description Osama Zaidan 2009-01-09 12:13:01 UTC
Customer is using iTunes as the main source for his music library.
SC integrates with iTunes and imports all files and playlists fine.
When we play a station from a playlist created in iTunes, the station does play fine, however if we close the web browser and launch it again the station disappears from the playlist until we do a rescan of library.

Please note the rest of the stations on the iTunes playlist in question remain on the playlist, the only ones that disappear are the ones that are chosen to play.

I tested and verified on Windows Vista and Widows-XP
The customer has MAC 10.5.5
SC version 7.3.1
RN=(090108-001145)

Radio stations in an iTunes playlist? I'm not sure that is something that should be supported. Radio stations should be stored in favorites, not as playlists.

qa to repro and show it to Chris and Dean for judgment
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2009-03-16 09:48:18 UTC
We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future.

Thanks!

Why wouldn't we support having a radio stream URL in an iTunes playlist? Granted, maybe it's a stream format we don't support, in which case SC would reject it. But if it's a supported format, we should play it.

If itunes can have a playlist with a radio station in it, we should be able to support it. How hard to solve?
