If I press/hold a preset while playing a Pandora station, the log shows the following and the preset is not added.

I should note that I haven't tested to see if any of the other music services have this same issue.

Works for me.  I can add a Pandora station as a preset in 2 ways:

Music Services -> Pandora -> Your Stations -> <station> (hold hotkey will add displayed station)

Play a Pandora station.
Go to Now Playing.
Hold hotkey.

Perhaps you were trying to add it while in another menu?
