Description Walker LaRon 2008-12-29 13:56:21 UTC
Ticket # 081205-004180

Environment:

OS: Windows Vista
Clean install of SC 7.3.1
Duet Firmware: r3476
NOT USING ITUNES
5232 Songs - All music shows - ripped from Windows Media Player and direct from CD's, mp3's and FLAC files, uses MP3 tags to add artwork to files

Computer is Hardwired to Router
Receiver and Controller wireless

ARTWORK is SHOWING in SqueezeCenter

Symptom:

Issue is not that Artwork is not showing but:

Artwork only shows on Controller if he clicks on it in SqueezeCenter

When scrolling through artists on controller, will not show artwork

Only shows up on " Now Playing"

States this only started after he updated to 7.3 (and 7.3.1)

Nothing else has changed.

Customer also states "sometimes" if he scans for new and changed music, his Artwork Disappears
Comment 1 Dan Forest 2009-01-01 06:28:00 UTC
This problem occured in V7.3 as well as V7.3.1. NOT as stated below.

ALL subsequent scans for new or changed music has yielded no artwork being displayed when scrolling through artists on controller.

Doing a scan using clear library and rescan everything does not resolve the problem either.

The above 3 lines were posted by me, DAn Forest, the customer with the problem.

LaRon - the following line almost always means antivirus software blocking access to the DB:

Can't create/write to file 'C:\Windows\TEMP\#sql_10f4_0.MYI'

Thus the scanner crashes and never searches for artwork.

Dan - please configure your antivirus software (McAfee by chance?) to ignore *.my* files. Support should be able to help you if you can't find the option.
