Description rachel perkins 2005-03-12 01:46:10 UTC
i uninstalled and then reinstalled slimserver on windows. during the
installation, i specified a directory where my mp3s are stored. when slimserver
started, none of my music was visible in the song/artist/album lists, and the
music (and playlists) folders were empty. i had to manually enter the path to
my music folder and rescan before any of the mp3s were visible.

i am going to file a related enhancement request for browse buttons for
entering the paths to the music and playlists folders (it became obvious one
was needed when the import from the installation didn't work :)).

Rachel, I'm not able to recreate the problem. I uninstalled SlimServer,
confirmed that the c:\Program Files\SlimServer directory no longer existed,
installed the 3/24/05 version, specified my music directory path (which was
different from the default), restarted SlimServer, and confirmed that the music
(and playlist) folders were correctly remembered.

Am I missing something that you might have done differently?
