Description Don 2008-12-27 10:36:28 UTC
Twice while playing music on Christmas day the Duet receiver just shut off while playing music. It was playing for hours each time before it shut itself off. Once I was playing Pandora and the second time I was playing music from my library. The first time the controller would not turn on the receiver. I had to turn the controller off and then on again and then I could turn the receiver on. The second time I was able to turn it on again from the controller by first selecting turn off (the controller thought is was on) and then selecting turn on. Never encounterd this problem on 7.2.1 but probably never played it for as long. My config is as follows:

QNAP TS-509 f/w 2.1.0 build 1202T (latest version)
SSOTS 3.15
SC 7.3.1 - 24372
Squeezebox Duet
iTunes music library - songs encoded as aac (m4p) not loseless

Don: does the same thing happen with Radio Streams OR when connected to SqueezeNetwork?
Comment 2 Don 2009-01-05 21:51:00 UTC
Not so far but I will test buy playing an internet radio station for a day and then I'll do the same with SqueezeNetwork. I'll let you know what happens in a few days.

I played SN & Internet radio for at least 24hrs each and the duet never shut off. The only thing that happend is that once while playing Internet radio it stopped playing. No idea why. It could have been anything.

Please give SC 7.3.2 a try on your QNAP to see if it has the same error or not.

Let me know if you still see this issue or if it goes away.

Will do. I've upgraded a few days ago. I'll test this issue now.

I've tested this for a few days now and could nt get the player to turn itself off. Looks like 7.3.2 did the trick.
