on an album page.

I suggest that touching the cover art on the Now Playing screen also expands it to full screen. Bonus points for a cool zooming effect.

Where in the interface is artwork displayed in the title bar?

Link not only the cover in NP to the full-screen cover, but also link artist and album from NP to their respective browse-by locations in the My Music hierarchy, and link the track title to the track details.

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.

Rethinking this a bit, I think touch-hold on the NP cover art should bring up the context menu. This is how iPeng works now and I really like it. Getting to the context menu on Fab4 is a real pain now compared to Baby.

Touch interface needs _some_ way to bring up the context menu, and I haven't seen anything else proposed. This would give consistency in the use of touch-hold throughout the ui. Touch to bring up artwork by itself and touch-hold to bring up the context menu.

You might have to reconcile this idea with another request on file that when there's no artwork, the space not be taken taken up by the 'missing' artwork image. Without that image you'd lose this capability, or else would need to use another hotspot on the NP screen, such as the text.

Moving these bugs to P4 to make room for moving P1.5 bugs to P2
Comment 8 Pat Ransil 2009-10-23 05:09:44 UTC
Administrative move of 7.5 bugs. All P2, P3, P4 being downgraded one level. Will then split P1s.

Given the recent changes in NP screen rotation and the current behavior, which I assume is by design, should this be closed?

Right now we have:

- Touching the _text_ in the titlebar brings up the Context Menu.

- Touching anywhere else that isn't a button rotates to the next NP screen. From the initial (default) text+artwork screen it moves to the fullscreen artwork.

this is actually in reference to My Music->Albums->Some Album, but the bug is not valid because we don't put the artwork in the title bar there any more
