Description GMoney 2008-12-19 20:56:09 UTC
Several users have had the problem described here, which renders SqueezeCenter totally unable to start up:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=373382#post373382

This is not a problem with Perl 5.10, as it happened to me running Perl 5.8.8-7etch5 on Debian etch. SqueezeCenter randomly stopped working. Only deleting /var/lib/squeezecenter/cache/plugin-data.yaml (a zero byte file) solved the problem after an upgrade from SqueezeCenter 7.2 did not.

Traceback when starting the server manually:

Loaded module: [Slim::Utils::PerlRunTime] ok!
Loaded module: [Template::Stash::XS] ok!

Ross, can you investigate this one
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2009-03-30 17:31:34 UTC
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it.

Thanks.
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2009-03-31 08:54:00 UTC
For some reason Bugzilla did not change the target when I did this yesterday. Or maybe it was me. In either case, I'm trying it again.

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
Comment 5 Ross Levine 2009-10-01 16:23:22 UTC
I'm not able to reproduce with Ubuntu, is this still a problem with 7.4?
Comment 6 James Richardson 2009-10-22 11:30:30 UTC
We aren't able to replicate this issue. Please re-test with the latest 7.4.1, if you are still able to replicate please reopen and include new data.
