Bugzilla – Bug 10351
Pausing SqueezePlay doesn't remain in effect
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:28:21 UTC
When I pause SqueezePlay, at some point later I can return to the PC and find that it has resumed playing. Often the audio is still silent at this point, but the UI shows play progressing through the playlist as normal. I have seen similar behaviour in the past with SqueezePlay.
what is the source of the steam you are pausing which version of SP are you seeing this on
It's a random album mix played from my Squeezecenter. The version of SqueezePlay is the 7.3 version from the Nightly directory. I downloaded it on 14th December at around 9:30 GMT
Created attachment 4456 [details] log file Log File. Notice that after some time of being paused, SP lost sync. At that point, the SP UI will start the PL up again, advancing as if it were playing.
I'm now experiencing this issue too, intermittently, after upgrading to 7.3.2 from 6.x (didn't used to get it before). If I can discern any pattern as to when it happens I'll post again.
This happens sometimes on latest 7.4 too, playing local flac files
This is happening to me too: Running Squeezecenter 7.3.3-26303 on RHEL5. Running Squeezeplay also on RHEL5. Streaming mp3 file. (queued whole album to play) Sometimes SqueezePlay will stay paused other times it will pause then resume with no audio. In the case of the pause then resume I see the following in the SqueezePlay log just before it resumes with no audio: src/audio/decode/decode.c:134 DEBUG pause_audio decode state: 1 audio state 0 133923:3865685 INFO (Playback.lua:364) - strm u In the case where is works correctly the log stops at the following line: src/audio/decode/decode.c:134 DEBUG pause_audio decode state: 1 audio state 0

Fixed in r6903. Alan I'd like to discuss this with you when you have time. Thanks.
This has been resolved, and further refined by the changes associated with bug 12909.
Some time worked
