Bugzilla – Bug 10322
Squeezecenter does not play m4a files on Ubuntu anymore
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:33:25 UTC
I used to be able to play m4a files with Squeezecenter 7.2.1, but since I updated to 7.3 they don't play anymore. The web interface shows it's streaming ok and softsqueeze/sb show the correct track name, but the progress bar of softsqueeze/sb keeps stuck at 00.00. I am running Xubuntu 8.10. In 7.2.1 I enabled m4a playback by creating a custom-convert.conf file. The file still exists.
I added a section to the AAC Wiki page on what you need to change for 7.3. http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/AAC#AAC_on_Linux
