Bugzilla – Bug 10299
Alarm that will shut off or put Squeezebox into Sleep Mode
Last modified: 2010-05-07 10:57:32 UTC
Enhancement Request: As a wish, and not as a bug, I would like to see your developers implement an alarm that would shut the Squeezebox off or put it to sleep (or simply stop streaming data) at a specified time. Maybe it could be as simple as implementing a new sound source with a null data stream (i.e. the "sound of silence"). Comcast is limiting the data we can receive/send per month and that would help to control our usage as opposed to remembering to manually put it to sleep before going to bed. So if your developers have a suggestion box..
**This could be a duplicate to bug 669**
From customers email: I am using Squeezebox Classic in a commercial environment (restaurant) to provide background music. I need a way to set the alarm to turn off the squeezebox at programmed times each evening. Sleep timing is NG! Is it possible to modify the code for the alarm function to shut the squeezebox instead of turning it on at the programmed times and days?
