Description Spies Steven 2008-12-09 15:04:26 UTC
Music services that should only be shown for certain locals will show for all users until a SqueezeNetwork account is entered in SqueezeCenter. Once a SqueezeNetwork account is entered these certain local accounts will also work until SqueezeCenter is restarted.

Steps to reproduce:

1 Start with a clean install of SqueezeCenter 7.3.
2 When asked to enter SqueezeNetwork skip this step and then choose finish on the next screen.
3 Notice on the web interface that all Music Services are shown, I can select Deezer for example but I do get an error.
4 Now go and enter SqueezeNetwork information and notice that Deezer can be played until a restart of SqueezeCenter.
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2008-12-09 15:06:05 UTC
Yep, this is because SC does not know what country a user is in at this stage.
Comment 2 Spies Steven 2008-12-09 15:09:23 UTC
Would it make more sense to do the opposite? Hide all locale based services and then reveal them after SqueezeNetwork credentials are entered?
Comment 3 Andy Grundman 2008-12-09 15:18:17 UTC
Marketing would probably disagree, they want people to constantly be aware of things they can get by signing up for SN.
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2008-12-15 09:36:00 UTC
Mike Dilley notes that he would prefer to see this fixed. Andy notes that we shouldn't worry about Deezer since they have an iphone app on the US store and their regular behavior is also to allow access from most anywhere.
