It would be great if the volume control for SqueezePlay was independently controllable from that of the PC itself. Of course, SP maximum volume will be no greater than the PC itself.

However, the difference in volume between Windows system sounds and SqueezePlay can be pretty significant. For example, I'm currently using SP to play somewhat quiet background music while I work. If I do something in Excel which causes a warning pop-up to appear, the sound which accompanies the pop-up is a lot louder than the SP music. Normally I have the volume turned off on my PC, but I want to have SP on.

Of course, I could manually go into Windows and select the "No Sounds" profile (which I just did), but I'm not sure that's what all users want to do.

Mickey, I'm confused. I think that's how it works now already?

Pinging Mickey...

I'm finding that the volume control works independently, just as you'd expect it in any desktop application.
