Description Alan Young 2008-11-14 01:10:08 UTC
Firmware should decode WAV header if present and not rely on strm-s parameters for sample-rate/channels/sample-size/endianness.
Comment 1 Chris Owens 2008-11-14 11:06:48 UTC
Yay bug 10000! You have won a free Jive battery and a complete set of EU power plugs when you get here!
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2008-11-17 07:41:12 UTC
PCM audio should be compressed to FLAC by default in SC, right?
Comment 3 Alan Young 2008-11-17 09:03:23 UTC
Yes, by default. This bug arose because of reports of problems playing wav, with transcoding disabled. Having the firmware capable of extracting PCM parameters from the WAV header would help in a few situations.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2008-11-17 12:00:18 UTC
Consider for 8.0, possibly fixing in SqueezePlay first and then back-porting.
Comment 5 Blackketter Dean 2009-02-06 07:29:14 UTC
Let's leave this in the future and fix it as the opportunity arises.
Comment 6 Alan Young 2010-05-07 10:20:18 UTC
All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform.
We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or
which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
